BLAST Premier to Stream 2024 Season on KICK Platform
Counter-Strike esports circuit BLAST Premier has entered into a non-exclusive partnership with the streaming platform KICK for the remainder of its 2024 season. This agreement will see events such as the BLAST Premier Fall Season and the World Final streamed on BLAST Premier’s official KICK channel.
The partnership aims to enhance BLAST Premier’s accessibility, expanding its reach to over 150 territories and offering content in 28 languages. In addition to KICK, BLAST Premier maintains official channels on Twitch, YouTube, and its own platform, BLAST.tv.
KICK, which launched in 2022, is a growing streaming service that has previously signed high-profile deals with streamers like Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel, Adin Ross, and Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa. The platform has more recently begun venturing into esports. Notably, in November 2023, KICK signed an esports partnership with Australian football club Melbourne Victory and streamed Counter-Strike 2’s first Major, the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, earlier this year.
The partnership with BLAST Premier will commence with the BLAST Premier Fall Season, starting today (July 29th). This season will feature 16 teams competing for a spot in the Fall Final, scheduled to take place in Copenhagen in September.
Akhil Sarin, Chief Marketing Officer at KICK, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration: “KICK is excited to partner with BLAST to bring top-tier esports content to our platform. Working with an organization like BLAST, which is at the forefront of esports and gaming events, aligns with our goal of strengthening our esports offerings. We look forward to delivering a high-quality, ad-free viewing experience for fans worldwide and growing our partnership with BLAST.”
In light of recent changes announced by Valve to the Counter-Strike esports ecosystem, BLAST Premier has been actively adjusting its CS2 structure for 2025 and preparing to host a Major in Texas next year.
