Oracle’s Elixir analytics tool now includes support for VALORANT.
Oracle’s Elixir analytics tool has recently expanded to include support for VALORANT, leveraging data from the GRID data platform. The tool will be utilized during VALORANT Champions 2024, the premier international event for the game, held in Seoul, South Korea, throughout August.
Elixir is known for offering advanced metrics for Riot Games’ other major esports title, League of Legends. In VALORANT, it will introduce metrics like the Rounds Above Replacement (RAR) rating system, which aims to provide deeper insights into individual player performances.
The metrics and models will use official esports data from GRID to ensure accuracy and reliability. GRID has also made strides in other esports areas, including launching the first data portal for Rainbow Six Siege professional teams through a partnership with Ubisoft.
Founded in 2015, Oracle’s Elixir has been a significant player in esports analytics. Tim ‘Magic’ Sevenhuysen, the tool’s founder, brings nearly a decade of experience in esports data, including his previous role as Director of Esports Analytics at 100 Thieves. Earlier this year, he joined GRID as a Senior Business Data Consultant.
Sevenhuysen noted, “One of the main reasons I wanted to integrate Oracle’s Elixir with VALORANT was to demonstrate how the GRID Data Platform can enhance the esports ecosystem, benefiting teams, fans, and others. Access to official data is crucial for providing accurate and reliable statistics.”
