As VALORANT Champions 2024 approaches its final stage in Seoul, South Korea, Riot Games has unveiled the VCT OFF//SEASON 2024 schedule to engage fans until the start of the new season. The OFF//SEASON will feature four Ascension tournaments, new Challengers competitions, and the Game Changers World Championship, a leading female VALORANT event. Additionally, over 30 OFF//SEASON events are planned, including mixed-gender tournaments.

The Ascension tournaments, which determine promotion into International Leagues, are scheduled for September:

  • VCT Ascension Americas: September 9th – 21st
  • VCT Ascension EMEA: August 31st – September 15th
  • VCT Ascension Pacific: September 20th – 29th
  • VCT Ascension China: September 11th – 21st

Starting next year, Riot will implement significant changes to the promotion system, including removing the fixed two-year term length for Ascension teams and capping each league at 12 teams.

After Ascension, new Challenger tournaments will bridge the gap between the 2024 and 2025 seasons, featuring top Challenger and Premier teams competing for prizes during the free agency period.

Riot Games has also announced 34 OFF//SEASON events across the major regions:

  • Pacific: 14 events
  • EMEA: 8 events
  • Americas: 10 events
  • China: 2 events

Notable OFF//SEASON events include Convergence 2024 (Pacific), Red Bull Home Ground (EMEA), Sentinels Showmatch (Americas), and the Ludwig x Tarik Invitational 3 (Americas). The Game Changers Championship will be held in Berlin from November 8th to 17th, featuring the top 10 female teams.

As the VCT Champions playoffs begin on August 14th, peak viewership has reached 768,051, with an average of 373,719 viewers. Despite lower viewership compared to last year, the inclusion of teams from all VCT leagues in the playoffs is expected to boost numbers in the coming days.
